As some of you may or may not know, I had a miscarriage and lost my baby. I had to go to UVRMC and deliver my baby. So on May 13, 2010 at 12:22 a.m. little Riley Harper, my son, was delivered. He was only 5 inches long and weighed 2.2 ounces. A tiny little thing, but perfect indeed!! What an awful experience to go through, but I'm doing okay! I got to spend about three hours with him in the hospital. An AMAZING lady came to the hospital and took care of him for us. She dressed him (in clothes that Matt's Aunt Shirlee made), took copies of his feet and hand prints, took photoz of him, and then made some molds of his tiny little feet and hands. I'm sooo grateful to her for taking such great care of my little son!! He was perfect, just had the cord wrapped very tightly around his neck twice so he wasn't able to come to this earth. We were able to bury him on May 15, 2010 for some more closure. I hope that I can get back to a NEW NORMAL life whatever that might be! I wanted to THANK EVERYONE from the bottom of my broken heart for all the thoughts, comments, prayers, flowers, food, money, and just EVERYTHING that everyone has done for me and my family!! I am sooo blessed and sooo grateful for all of you and for my family!! This is a terrible thing to go through, but we're going through it and trying to understand and doing okay :-)!! Through my faith I know I will see him perfect and living and be able to wrap my arms around him, but not right now. It's a sad thing, but I'm trying to understand God's Plan and hopefully some day I will understand! I really am doing okay and that's all I can do for right now! I had to CANCEL eight photo shoots for May and the dance revue so I'm taking it easy and am going to NOT be so busy when I start back up. Thankz for understanding and caring!! Rayni :-)
Here's my new family photo that I will cherish FOREVER!!!
